With Ian Callum taking his design cues from the legendary DB4 GT Zagato, Vanquish offered the ultimate development of brutish styling and performance and was worthy of its title as Aston Martins new ultimate GT.
Launched in 2002, this original Vanquish was ordered and delivered new to the actor Hugh Grant following the filming of ‘About a Boy’. The car featured in numerous press and magazine articles at the time and was the subject of high praise when Grant was interviewed by Jeremy Clarkson for the BBC’s Top Gear programme shortly after taking delivery.
Finished in immaculate Solway Grey paintwork with Charcoal Connolly leather interior and black Wilton carpets. Specified with the all-important 2+2 seating option, Satellite Navigation and complete with the original factory telephone and umbrella.
The current keeper has a long history of Aston Martin ownership with this being the fifth example owned to date. Extensive works have been carried out whilst in his care and a meticulous service history record confirms how the car has been cared for and maintained throughout.
Fully recommissioned in 2019 by Aston Martin Works Service following a period in storage and with thirteen Aston Martin stamps present, the most recent service was completed by Aston Martin Chichester less than 200 miles ago. In addition, new front and rear suspension components and four new Yokohama tyres were also fitted at the same time.
